The Unusual Routine of Success.

What does success mean to you? For each of us, it is a unique destination, driven by our values, desires, and determination.  To one person, it might be that dream job; to another, a degree. While everyone has their definition of what success is, it takes the same or at least similar pathways to get there. Success isn't just about hard work; it's also about understanding the unseen drivers that propel you forward. Want to achieve success? Focus on these essential yet often-overlooked factors that would be discussed in this article. Mastering the art of succeeding will surely see you checking off everything on your yearly goals checklist.

The first and the most important is regular sleep.

Yes, you heard me right. How well you sleep and the state of mind you create at the beginning of the day has a lot to do with how much you'll accomplish. Although sleep is important, doing it right is far more important to achieve the results you want. Experts recommend that adults sleep between 7 and 9 hours a night. Adults who sleep less than 7 hours a night may have more health issues than those who sleep 7 or more hours a night. This is why proper sleep is important. As the saying goes, health is wealth; so proper sleep is one of the major steps towards success. But never forget that overdoing it could be counterproductive. So make sure you sleep according to the recommended time but  set an alarm to avoid oversleeping, then get to succeeding!

Breakfast and laptops now go hand-in-hand for many. It is either they are typing away or checking work emails while at the Breakfast table. While you may think that doing this will make you more productive, it will have the opposite effect. Multitasking during meals can negatively impact productivity and work quality, therefore, hurting the standard of work you produce. Breaks are imperative to maintain concentration and energy levels. So drop that phone, focus on the meal in front of you, and eat while chewing at a normal pace, keeping yourself in the moment and not thinking about the deadlines you have to meet.

The next thing you have to do to succeed is eat the frog first. The first hour of your morning sets the stage for the entire day to follow. It's important to make the most of it, and I don't mean by opening your inbox and sifting through whatever came in last night. There's a better way: take the morning to tackle the hardest things of the day—those heavy tasks that you know you won't have the energy for later, those big ugly frogs, eat them first. This is especially important for procrastinators like me who tend to Keep postponing the hardest tasks. By doing that tough thing you've been putting off first thing in the morning, it feels great to have it behind you and in the bank. Let your achievements boost your energy and carry you through the day!

As someone who aspires to be successful, you must be an early riser. Successful people are accustomed to rising early, and that habit repeatedly appears among those who do well in life. It gives them the confidence to plan things to accomplish their daily tasks efficiently. They make use of this time by involving in exercise and planning the activities of the entire day. I am not saying you need to be part of the 5:00 am Club (I tried and failed), but you must get up early enough to have time alone.

We have all heard of the adage “birds of the same feather flock together” but we don't know there is so much truth in this. To be outstanding you have to be around already outstanding people that inspire you. Successful people know the value of exchanging ideas with others through networking. They also see the importance of collaboration and teamwork – all of which happen when you network. They also prefer to develop relationships among positive and motivated people to have the company of the right people. This is why the circle of friends and acquaintances you have is very important.

Lastly, although routines might be boring and repetitive, A perfect daily routine is necessary for a successful life because it creates an ideal morning plan for the entire day. Plus, a routine is not enough if you don’t follow it. So invest time in creating these routines and give equal importance when it comes to following these routines. They structure your life and business, save time, and make you more efficient. It also enforces self-control. Self-control has the power to improve your focus and decision-making capability. It has a significant impact on success. Spend a limited amount of time on the things that tempt you to waste time and resources. Instead, turn to those activities that contribute positively to your success.

Armed with these overlooked weapons of mass destruction, I believe you are ready to go out into the world and succeed excellently. If you have any unusual routine you do that has helped you in your success journey please put it down in the comments below.

Till next time, Ciao!
