School and Business are different terminologies, and as an entrepreneur, you can do both and be astounding at it.
Entrepreneurs are the #1 people who are innovative, creative, and want to solve problems. Because they understand that business is mainly buying and selling, they are driven by purpose and not by profit. Life after school is different from school life. In terms of business, starting from school is better. Gone are those days when after school, there’s a job on the line. However, it is starting to seem that this line has been made available only to ‘the special ones.' Now, we have been told indirectly to start making ways for ourselves. Apart from this, it’s best to do so because the world is ever-changing.
In this perilous situation, there is still one chance of escape, like Nelson Mandela stated, Ask not what your country can do for you. Ask what you can do for your country. Therefore, learning a skill or a trade can serve as a contingency plan to the what-ifs question.
What if you don't get your dream job after school?
What if you don't get to go for your Youth Service Corps right away?
What if families, friends, and loved ones suddenly stop supporting the little that comes in?
Or what if you are uncomfortable with your earnings at that point?
The question list is quite endless
Having a backup plan is what you need, and that is learning a skill, in which a single client can bring 10 more. All these can only be possible through the word INTENTIONALITY . You don't need to follow the crowd because the uniqueness we each possess has a great significance and purpose. And one of the ways to be intentional about everything is by Setting Goals. Goal setting is not impossible without documentation. A wise man once said, You can't improve on something that is not documented. Making plans in the head can only make you forget, but writing them down keeps you standing. And, you DO NOT have to be a writer before making that happen. This is what will enable you as an entrepreneur to know who you are. Your identity…what you want to do in life matters. It doesn't have anything to do with comparison, rather will only help in achieving a great feat while attending classes and attending to clients.
There's the need to pay attention to every detail as it helps you to stay productive. Cut off those that don't align with where you are headed, as talking about your plans will only make you seem boastful in their eyes. An entrepreneur who is passionate about making an impact should be strategic about it. And to those who are trying to figure out their lives especially as student preneurs, we have something to tell you but not this week. Definitely the next.?
You don't want to miss it. Stay strong!
